About Holy Unexpected

The Exhibition

Holy Unexpected is an exhibition exploring the lives of remarkable saints through beautiful contemporary stained glass representations. The exhibition presents eight figures of holiness who illuminate the unexpected nature of life, circumstances, and the call of God.

Each saint featured in this exhibition was called to live in a particular time and place, to face particular dramas and problems. Their stories reveal how God's grace works in unexpected ways through ordinary human lives.

At the heart of the exhibition is the film Holy Unexpected, a dialogue between G.K. Chesterton and Julian of Norwich. These unlikely friends serve as our guides, taking us on a tour through the story of Christianity in these lands and the lives of our eight saints. Through their penetrating vision of reality, we discover the unexpected ways God's grace works throughout history and in these very human lives.
